Why do I see a 20 Player limit?

The 0/20 value you initially see in the panel is not a limit imposed by Altora, but the default setting that every Minecraft server automatically generates upon its first launch. We don't believe in artificial limits and we will never charge you extra for each player: the number of slots is determined exclusively by the hardware resources (RAM and CPU) of your chosen plan.

To remove the 20-player limit in 30 seconds:

Log into the panel and open the File Manager.
Locate and click on the server.properties file.
Find the line max-players=20 and replace the number with your preferred value (e.g., 100).
Save the file and Restart the server to apply the changes.

Please Note: Remember to balance the number of slots based on your plan's power. Setting 1,000 players on a server with low RAM will cause lag; game fluidity always depends on the ratio between the number of players, installed plugins, and available hardware resources.

How long does server activation take?

Activation is instantaneous. As soon as the payment is completed, our automated system configures the instance on the node and sends your login credentials via email. You will be online and ready to set up your world in less than 60 seconds.

Can I upgrade to a higher plan later?

Of course. If your community grows, you can upgrade your plan directly from your client profile. The system will upgrade the resources (RAM, CPU, and Disk) while keeping all your data, worlds, and current configurations intact.

Are Datacenter NVMe U.2 disks actually faster?

Yes, Datacenter-class NVMe U.2 disks are designed for constant workloads and offer near-zero data access latency. Combined with the RAID1 configuration, they ensure that chunk loading (Minecraft) or map loading (Ark/Rust) is instantaneous, while simultaneously protecting your data from hardware failures.

Can I install Modpacks, Plugins, or custom versions?

Absolutely! Thanks to the Wisp control panel, you have full access to your files via SFTP and an integrated version manager. What is the difference between your Game Containers and a standard VPS?

Altora plans are not standard VPS (Virtual Private Servers). We use high-performance isolated containers powered by Docker technology. This means zero resource waste: while a VPS consumes RAM and CPU just to run the operating system (Kernel, background processes, unnecessary services), our containers dedicate every single MB of RAM and every Ryzen 9 GHz exclusively to your game server. It is the elite choice for those seeking stability and performance that standard virtualization simply cannot deliver.

Can I install whatever I want, like on a VPS?

On Altora, you have total control over your game files via SFTP access and full management of dedicated MySQL Databases. We do not provide root access to the operating system because we want your server to "fly" directly on the Ryzen 9 bare-metal, without the dead weight of a useless OS to manage.
